How to keep flowers fresh

Keep flowers healthy and lasting longer with one simple trick.

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Mix

Using gloves, add ¼ teaspoon of Clorox® Disinfecting Bleach to every 1/3 gallon of water you use in the flower vase and stir to mix.

  2. Step 2: Cut

Unwrap the bouquet and cut a little off the bottom of each flower stem to increase absorbency. When cutting the stems, make sure to also consider cutting them to size for your flower vase.

  3. Step 3: Refresh weekly as needed

Ensure the water stays clear and free of that nasty smell that starts to brew about a week after the flowers bloom. Check the flowers weekly, and mix up a fresh batch of water solution as needed.
